3 ways to find your motivation
How to create motivation when you do not have one? How to get things done and avoid procrastination? Let’s discuss three useful methods that help people to take action.
We all strive to live the life we love and do things that bring satisfaction and happiness. But each of us had this moment in life when something just needed to be done. No matter how hard we try to avoid the task or procrastinate, it will catch up with us eventually. And what do we lack the most when it comes to forcing ourselves to do something? Right, we lack motivation.

I am sharing with you my tips on how to overcome the desire to postpone the inevitable and bring motivation back.
- Create a reward for the promise you have managed to keep
Think of something that makes your mood, maybe it is a donut with a freshly brewed coffee or a meeting with a dear friend. Or maybe, you have forbidden yourself to buy the shoes that you want badly, but they are off your budget. Or you have always wanted to participate in a paid event, but did not find the right time. It is not necessary that the reward is of material nature. You must clearly realize that you will get the reward only after you complete the task. And who knows you better than YOU? Encourage your own proper behavior, but do not overuse this trick.
2. Switch between tasks for more productivity
Divide your task into small independent steps (the bigger the task — the smaller the steps) and fill the gaps with something that brings you pleasure. For example, you hate the idea of cleaning your flat. Instead of cleaning immediately and everywhere, choose one room. And after it is cleaned up, watch an episode of your favorite TV show.
3. Add your creativity to the process
We might have a particular task with a certain deadline. But the way we do it — is definitely in our hands. If you’re a paper clerk just like me, forming a visual list with bullets, maps and sketches will help you in fixating the results. You can always choose a fun way to do something instead of dull and routine options. For example, you need to go to the shop and buy groceries. But on the way to the shop, you can pick an unusual route that you haven’t taken before. The way you complete the task matters!
Motivation is an extremely important component in every task. If you do not want to do something (and this is mandatory), figure out how to wake up the motivation, this will start the rest of the process. Hope that these motivation hacks were useful. If you have something to add, leave comments :)
